News from August, 2014 | Oficial standardization of the 'ikitu' alphabet

• Como resultado del 'Congreso de Normalización del Alfabeto de la Lengua IKITU', impulsado por el Ministerio de Cultura y la Dirección General de Educación Intercultural, Bilingüe y Rural (DIGEIBIR) del Ministerio de Educación, se creó un nuevo alfabeto oficial para el idioma iquito ~ iquitu ~ ikitu ~ ikíitu [ISO 639-3 language code: iqu], el cual es:
  
  a,  i,  ï/i,  j,  k,  m,  n,  p,  r,  s,  t,  u,  y,  w
  
  
• Leer un artículo escrito por el Profesor Gabel Daniel Sotil García en su blog Tipishca para saber más de estas noticias.
  
  
• As an outcome of the 'IKITU Language Alphabet Standardization Congress', driven by the Ministry of Culture and the General Directorate of Intercultural, Bilingual, and Rural Education of the Ministry of Education, a new official alphabet was created for the Iquito ~ Iquitu ~ Ikitu ~ Ikíitu language [ISO 639-3 language code: iqu], which is given above.
  
  
• This offical mandate requires that the ILDP update its entire corpus of materials — the dictionary, all texts, all teaching/learning materials, etc. — a substantial task that will take place over the next few years.
